New Iconographies explores the role of new images in relation to geopolitics, violence, and data, and investigates new aesthetics, modern iconographies, and contemporary social changes.
The project rework global news, images of conflict, infographic maps, propaganda videos, social trends, new warfare technologies, and NGO reports, becoming an archive of the present, tools for investigating perception, prevailing cultural trends, and the tensions between power, identity, and representation.
This research explores the connection between emerging symbolisms, collective narratives, and contemporary vision processes.
