With New Iconographies project, Giampaolo Parrilla conducts an in-depth investigation into the aesthetic and iconographic potential of contemporary images found online.

 
The research is based on the systematic use of images extracted from various platforms, such as social media, TikTok trends, Telegram war channels, and Reddit pseudo-conspiracy groups, treating this vast visual material as a contemporary and violent iconographic archive.

 
Through a symbolic and iconographic analysis, the project explores the philosophical, anthropological, and social dimensions of these widespread visual forms, examining their intrinsic aesthetic and iconographic power and their relationship to contemporary social changes.
